Steven Emerson, MD, PhD
Dr. Emerson has served since 2012 as Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Columbia University. Before becoming Director he spent 5 years as President of Haverford College and, prior to that, was a research scientist at cancer centers based at Penn and Michigan.

During his tenure at Columbia, Dr. Emerson was instrumental in galvanizing the multi-institutional Collaborative whose long-term research goals were funded by The Celgene Corporation.

David Bowen, PhD
Dr. Bowen is one of the country's leading experts on the intersection between health, science and public policy.

After obtaining his PhD in Neurobiology, from the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Bowen joined the staff of the Committee in the US Senate that was most responsible for health policy and rose to become Senior Staff Advisor.

Dr. Bowen also served as Director of Global Health Policy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2013 David became head of the Healthcare Advisory Practice at Hill + Knowlton Strategies and in 2017 that firm's parent company, WPP, formed a new concern -- WPP Health & Wellness -- and David has assumed a senior role in that organization.

Kevin Vigilante, MD, MPH
As a Senior Vice President, Dr. Vigilante is part of the management team at Booz Allen Hamilton, one of the largest consulting firms worldwide, with over 20,000 employees.

Dr. Vigilante holds the title of Chief Medical Officer at the firm, and he also is in charge of Booz Allen’s healthcare consultant practice.

Kevin has a BA from Johns Hopkins, an MD from Cornell, and a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. His residency was at Yale New Haven Hospital and Kevin was on the medical faculty of both Yale and Brown University.

Joe Armbrust, JD
Joe retired in 2014, after over 40 years of practice, from the International law firm of Sidley Austin, which has 1900 lawyers located in over 20 offices worldwide.

Joe was Co-Head of the New York office and helped several other important leadership positions in the firm including serving as a member of Sidley’s Management and Executive Committees and also serving as Co-Head of the Corporate Practice Group for the entire firm.

Joe graduated from Boston College where he had a joint major in physics and mathematics and also was a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

For many years Joe has served on the Advisory Committee of Morristown Medical Center, a 700-bed facility in New Jersey.
